Perth occupies an important place in the history of Scottish night trains, being the birthplace of the car-carrying sleeper services that would eventually become the Motorail network. The Perth poster shows a Caledonian Sleeper train inching its way over the Tay Viaduct with the distinctive tower of St Matthew’s Church in the background.
